1. Who We Are

SourcingBrief ("we", "us", "our") is a supplier intelligence platform providing information on Vietnamese manufacturers to global buyers sourcing from Vietnam, operated from Frankfurt, Germany. We are committed to protecting your personal data in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account registration: full name, company name, email address.
  • Shortlist requests: name, company, email, phone, product requirements, budget.
  • Analytics data (only with your consent): pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, and on-site interactions, collected via Google Analytics 4. Nothing is collected if you decline analytics.
  • Server logs: your IP address, date and time, and the page requested, processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the website.

3. Legal Basis

Account and shortlist data: Article 6(1)(b), performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps. Analytics: Article 6(1)(a), your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Hosting and server logs: Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website. Communications: Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests.

4. Third Parties and International Transfers

We rely on the following processors:

  • Supabase (database and file storage), hosted within the European Union.
  • Vercel Inc. (website hosting and content delivery), United States. Server logs including your IP address are processed to serve the site. Transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (Google Analytics), used only if you consent. Data may be processed in the United States, safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Our web fonts are self-hosted, so no data is sent to Google to display them. We never sell your data.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Email info@sourcingbrief.com and we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (the Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

6. Data Retention

Account and shortlist data are retained while your account is active and up to 12 months after a deletion request. Analytics data are retained for up to 14 months. Server logs are kept briefly for security and then deleted or anonymised.
